Reflections on the surface

This male great white shark (Carcharodon carcharias) was gracefully passing by with just the pinnacle of his dorsal fin breaking the water's surface. Currents off of Isla de Guadalupe were calm enough at the surface, to allow for a relatively nice reflection of the shark. During the fall months Guadalupe is an aggregation point for white sharks. The top-notch visibility and large shark population make Guadalupe arguably the best spot in the world to photograph the species underwater.
